First, a dotted implosion marble is made by pressing a hot glass marble into a puck. The puck is poked with a tungsten probe, and I fill the indentations with silver-impregnated glass. This puck is then reheated, pulled, and slumped to form the long tentacles. The jellyfish bell is added to the top of the tentacles, and the whole piece is then encased in a large ball of hot glass.
This molten ball of glass is formed into a marble, and cobalt blue glass is added to the back. Then the pendant is slowly cooled and reheated multiple times in a high-oxygen flame to develop the colors of the silver-impregnated glass.
